Shreyas Iyer, the KKR skipper departed for a duck in his first game of IPL 2024 against SRH but has come back strongly against RCB with an unbeaten 39 off 24 balls. He hit two sixes in his knock, the first one of those was a flat six against Mohammed Siraj on the final delivery of the 15th over and the next one was the winning hit that took KKR over the line.

Talking about the first six, it was a full delivery on middle and leg from Siraj and Shreyas Iyer flicked it it in style. He got the middle of his blade and the ball went flat and over wide long on for a maximum. 

Siraj who is leading RCB's pace attack was very expensive throughout the match and was blasted for 18 runs in his first over when Phil Salt hammered him all over the park. He ended up giving 46 runs in three overs and Kolkata eventually won the game by seven wickets in the 17th over.

The win at Chinnaswamy has made KKR the first team in IPL 2024 to win away from home and they have won both the matches they have played so far.
