Bangladesh star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan continues to amaze with his all-around abilities, even adding wicket-taking to his skill set. In the 59th match of the County Championship, at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, Shakib made his debut for Surrey.

His performance was nothing short of impressive, as he picked up his first wicket in his debut match, making headlines once again.

Shakib's first scalp came in the form of Somerset’s batting all-rounder, Tom Abell. During the 54th over of Somerset's first innings, Shakib al Hasan delivered a perfect arm ball that skidded through. The delivery, slightly full in length, invited Abell to play on the back foot. 

However, the ball sharply deviated and struck the off-stump, dismissing Abell for 49 off 119 balls.


Shakib Al Hasan's Shines In Surrey Debut With 4-wicket Haulns 

After Somerset won the toss and elected to bat, Surrey's bowlers, led by debutant Shakib Al Hasan, took control of the game. Shakib’s early breakthrough set the tone, and Somerset struggled to build any momentum. By the end of their innings, they were bowled out for 317 runs.

Shakib's impact was felt beyond taking Tom Abell’s wicket. He continued to impress with the ball, dismissing Kasey Aldridge for 15 runs, Craig Overton for six runs, and Brett Randell to complete his 4-wicket haul.

Shakib finished the day with an impressive four wickets, helping Surrey dominate their opponents and establishing himself as a key player for the team.
