Pakistan's prominent pacer Shaheen Afridi enjoyed stellar success with the ball as he got the prized scalp of the in-form Wiaan Mulder in the must-win match against South Africa in Karachi. After dismissing Tony de Zorzi, Afridi removed Mulder at a crucial juncture of the match.

The incident occurred during the 40th over when Wiaan Mulder was batting alongside the dynamic Heinrich Klaasen to ensure a fitting finish to the innings. Bowling the eighth over of his spell, Shaheen kept the Proteas batters under the pump, bowling two consecutive dot balls.

He followed it up with a good-length delivery outside the off stump as Mulder departed while trying to dispatch it to the fence. From over the wicket, Shaheen offered width, inviting Mulder to free his arms. However, as the right-handed batter played a cut shot, Saud Shakeel flew towards his right, holding on to a spectacular catch.

As Mulder cut the ball with brute power, Shakeel showed his agility on the field, taking a magnificent catch at backward point. His stunning effort made Rizwan and Shaheen happy, and they expressed their jubilation with a friendly hug.

South Africa Set To Post A Daunting Total vs Pakistan

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, South Africa had a solid start to their innings before losing Tony de Zorzi. However, skipper Temba Bavuma and Matthew Breetzke slammed blistering fifties to steady the ship for the visitors. As of writing, the Proteas were all set for a mammoth total, placed at 265 for four in 43 overs.
