The third ODI between Pakistan and South Africa at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 12 had its fair share of drama. One of the biggest moments of the game came when South Africa captain, Temba Bavuma, was run out after a misjudged single. The dismissal not only changed the momentum of the match but also led to a fiery celebration from Saud Shakeel, who made sure Bavuma felt the heat as he walked off the field.

South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first. Bavuma, who has been in phenomenal form, was leading his team’s batting effort. However, in the 29th over, a poor call for a run cost him his wicket.

It happened when Bavuma played a length delivery to backward point. He attempted a quick single, but his partner hesitated, leaving him stranded in the middle of the pitch. Saud Shakeel, stationed at backward point, quickly grabbed the ball and made a direct throw to the stumps. Bavuma was well short of his crease when the bails were dislodged, and the third umpire confirmed his dismissal. He had to walk back after scoring 82 runs, missing out on what could have been a well-deserved century.

The moment Bavuma was given out, the Pakistan fielders erupted in joy. But it was Saud Shakeel and Kamran Ghulam who took the celebrations to another level. Instead of just rejoicing, they turned their attention directly to Bavuma, celebrating right in front of him. Shakeel, in particular, was seen aggressively celebrating and staring at the South Africa captain.

South Africa Trying To Build Great Score

Despite losing Tony de Zorzi early for 22 runs, South Africa were building a solid total, thanks to Bavuma’s 82-run knock. He was well supported by Matthew Breetzke and Heinrich Klaasen, who continued to keep the scoreboard ticking. At the time of writing, South Africa are at 186 for 2 in 33 overs.
