Pakistan's pace sensation, Shaheen Afridi got the first breakthrough by removing Matthew Short in the on-going third and final T20I match between Australia and Pakistan. Shaheen was assisted by his teammate Irfan Khan who grabbed a stunner.
Matthew Short, who has had a mixed-series having scored 32 runs in the second game, was sent back after scoring just two runs off four balls. Thus marking his second single digit score in the three-match T20I series.
In the 3rd over itself, Shaheen Shah cunningly bowled a slower delivery. He rolled his fingers on the ball and bowled an off-cutter on off, unfortunately Short was early into the lofted drive and got it right off the toe end of the bat. The ball travelled in the air only to find Irfan Khan waiting to hold on to it. Irfan came in from the mid on and settled under the ball and took an easy and simple catch to dismiss Matthew Short.

In reply, Pakistan, who started so well and were at 58-1 in the power play, went down nine wickets for 56 runs to be bowled out for just 117 in 18.1 overs. Only key knocks came from Babar Azam (41) and Shaheen Afridi (16).
Australia's bowlers dominated after the power play as they took quick wickets and wrapped up the tail, with the key bowlers being Aaron Hardie with 3-21, Adam Zampa with 2-11, and Spencer Johnson with 2-15. Pakistan's batting failed while Hardie, Zampa and others tightened the noose.
