Shaheen Afridi reminded fans of MS Dhoni on Monday during Pakistan's third and final T20I of the series, taking place at Bellerive Oval, Hobart. The former Pakistan captain played a helicopter shot that too against in-form bowler Aaron Hardie, who claimed three wickets for 21 runs in his four overs, including a maiden.
Shaheen Afridi Punishes Aaron Hardie With An Epic Helicopter
It was the fifth ball of the 16th over of Pakistan's innings, and Hardie bowled a delivery close to the blockhole on the leg. Shaheen picked it up from there, and kept his head under the ball before playing a magnificent helicopter shot. The ball went quickly towards the mid-wicket region and crossed the ropes for four runs.
However, Pakistan failed to manage a respectable total on the board. Except Babar Azam, who made 41 off 28 balls, they failed as a unit, posting 117 on the board before losing all ten wickets inside 18.1 overs. Agha Salman, who captained in place of Mohammad Rizwan, could not live up to his lofty standards, while the rest fell like a pack of cards. In fact, they slipped from 61/1 to 117 all-out in no time.
At the time of writing this, Australia 85/3 in 9.5 overs, with Marcus Stoinis going berserk, smashing 38* off just 20 balls. They only need 33 runs off 61 balls to complete a whitewash.
