Despite the setback, the MI batting line-up remained formidable, with Rohit Sharma still at the crease. Earlier in the match, Travis Head's quickfire half-century was overshadowed by Abhishek Sharma's sensational 16-ball fifty, setting the stage for a record-breaking total by SRH. Heinrich Klaasen's explosive knock further propelled SRH to a formidable total of 277-3 in 20 overs, the highest in IPL history at Hyderabad.

As Mumbai Indians embarked on the daunting task of chasing down the mammoth total, they found themselves at 76 for 2 after 6 overs.
