Netherlands, the lowest ranked team in the World Cup 2023 is creating quite a stir in their opening game against Pakistan as they constantly managed to create breakthroughs after Pakistan were put to bat by the Dutch captain. The star-packed Pakistan's batting line-up struggled to get going right throughout the innings and were reduced to 38-3 at one point in time, with Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq all dismissed.

Rizwan and Saud Shakeel scored 68 each and managed to stage a Pakistan fightback in the middle overs but Bas de Leede with two wickets off consecutive delivers in the 44th over, pegged back Pakistan again.

The first of those two wickets was of Shadab Khan, the all-rounder who was batting well on 32, but he encountered a beautiful delivery against the run-of-play which send his off stump for a ride while disturbing his middle stump on the way too.

Talking about the ball that got rid of Shadab Khan, it was a beautiful delivery that shaped in with the angle and was fullish in length. Shadab Khan tried to drive it but the ball sneaked between his bat and pad and knocked over the stumps in style. Pakistan were eventually bundled out for 286.
