Pakistan had a disastrous start to their 2023 World Cup campaign, as the Netherlands rattled their top-order through a splendid bowling performance. However, valiant knocks from Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel ensured Pakistan's commendable fightback in the high-voltage clash in Hyderabad. But the Dutch eventually bounced back in the game, getting rid of both the set batters in quick succession. While Shakeel was dismissed by Aryan Dutt, Bas de Leede cleaned up Rizwan to push the Men in Green on the back foot.

The incident occurred in the 32nd over when the Dutch skipper Scott Edwards turned up to experienced all-rounder De Leede in a bid to get a breakthrough.

The medium pacer stepped up to the occasion, cleaning up Rizwan in the third delivery of the over.

It was a length delivery, which came into Rizwan, breaching his defence and shattering the timber. While De Leede celebrated, Rizwan made his way back to the hut with disappointment written all over his face. After dismissing the keeper-batter, the right-arm seamer got rid of Iftikhar Ahmed, leaving Pakistan tottering.

As of writing, Pakistan are reeling at 188 for six, with Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan batting on 5* and 0*, respectively.
