[Watch] Scott Edwards Reminds Fans Of MS Dhoni With Spot-On DRS; Gurbaz Falls

Many people worldwide used to admire MS Dhoni's aura of taking successful DRS. It was affectionately renamed the Dhoni Review System in his honor.

Similarly, Netherlands’ skipper Scott Edwards, easily the best wicket-keeper in the World Cup 2023, decided the stumps without hesitation. As a result, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Afghanistan’s most aggressive batsman, fell cheaply after coming to chase a paltry 180 in Lucknow.

It was a back-of-a-length delivery by Logan van Beek, which Gurbaz, batting on 10 off 11 balls, tried to pull. However, the ball was too close to Gurbaz before it went to Edwards’ big gloves.

The Dutch keeper immediately appealed for a caught behind, but the on-field umpire ignored it and gave it a wide.

Edwards signalled T straightaway to take the DRS, and Gurbaz’s body language indicated he was in trouble. The replay showed the same, as UltraEdge confirmed there was a spike when the ball was going past Gurbaz’s gloves.

Considering even van Beek was not too sure for caught behind, Edwards' call was nothing but a spectacular move. Gurbaz, on the other hand, began to walk back to the pavilion while constantly nodding his head after another failure while batting second.
