On and off the field, Rohit Sharma never fails to engage his fans as well as journalists with witty remarks. A similar incident took place recently when he was off to Eden Gardens, Kolkata in order to play India’s high-voltage clash against South Africa, scheduled to be held on Sunday (November 5).

Under Rohit’s leadership, the Men in Blue are on a dream run in the World Cup 2023, having won seven out of seven matches, which simultaneously helped them become the first team to qualify for the semi-finals. Their next opponent, South Africa, are on excellent form as well, having won six out of their seven attempts.

Ahead of the battle between table toppers, Rohit was about to leave Lucknow airport for Kolkata. During that, a question from a fan came towards him, saying, ‘World Cup apna hai na?’ (This World Cup will be ours, right?)

A while later, Rohit walked casually by and gave him a savage "abhi time hai" (We still have time) in response.
