[Video] Virat Kohli ‘Fights For’ Shubman Gill During Sara Tendulkar Chants At Wankhede

The chant of ‘apni bhabhi kaisi ho? Sara bhabhi jaisi ho’ is nothing new across stadiums in India. This is merely a jab at Shubman Gill, India’s rising emerging superstar, who is rumoredly dating Sara, the beautiful daughter of Sachin Tendulkar.

Virat Kohli, though, did not appreciate the taunting Shubman Gill endured during India's epic World Cup match at Wankhede, particularly since Sachin Tendulkar and Sara were present in the stands.

Kohli and Gill usually stand side by side during the powerplay overs at the slip cordon. Both of them were there when the team played Sri Lanka, and at one point, Kohli asked the audience to stop Sara chanting and instead requested that they should clap their hands in support of Gill, pointing to his name on his jersey.

Though Kohli's gesture was heartwarming, Gill remained unmoved at his place. In fact, in all likelihood, he was unaware of Kohli's initial acts of kindness towards him.

Under Rohit Sharma's captaincy, the Men in Blue became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals in the World Cup semi-finals. It happened after they cruised past Sri Lanka by 302 runs, with Gill and Kohli making significant impacts, scoring 92 and 88 respectively.
