India have found their new sensation in their express pace’s department, and his name is Mayank Yadav. The 21-year-old announced his arrival with scorching deliveries one after another, which included a 155.8 kph corker, and he was finally rewarded with Jonny Bairstow’s wicket during his second over of the day.
Although he seemed very raw, Mayank was consistently disturbing Jonny Bairstow at brutal pace. The wicket was coming for sure, and it eventually happened that the Englishman went for a pull off Mayank’s short delivery, which was targeting middle and leg stump.
Placed at deep mid-wicket, Marcus Stoinis made no mistake before catching it comfortably with safe hands.

In the following over, Mayank got another wicket in a similar manner. Prabhsimran Singh, who batted aggressively since coming on as an impact sub, was his second victim, as the Punjab’s batters’ entertaining 7-ball 19 came to an end.
And then, to finish off his quota for the day, he got the biggest of all, Punjab Kings’ vice-captain Jitesh Sharma, to make an iconic debut to remember.
Meanwhile, Punjab, who were in control, still need 61 runs off last 26 balls to clinch a victory in Lucknow.
