Sarfaraz Khan has announced his arrival at international stage with three fifties in five innings but has once again failed to convert into a hundred, as Shoaib Bashir got him on the first delivery after Tea on Day 2.

Sarfaraz was looking in great touch and was all set for a big score, but he tried to score a boundary on the very first ball after the Tea, and paid a heavy price. It was a touch short of good length, but maybe not short enough to cut or try something fancy, but Sarfaraz did that and it led to his downfall.

It turned a bit towards Sarfaraz and he went for the late cut, however, the ball caught the outside edge of his blade and flew towards Joe Root at first slip who took a fine catch.

Sarfaraz Khan scored 56 off 60 balls and though he has departed without getting a big century which was due, he has put India in a very strong position and England are still away behind in this 5th Test match. Earlier, Rohit and Gill smashed centuries and Devdutt Padikkal on his debut has also scored his fifty and England need flurry of wickets quickly to keep India's lead in control that is fast approaching 200.
