The IPL 2025 is off to superb start and in the fourth match of the season, we have Delhi Capitals up against Lucknow Super Giants. Both the teams have a new captain and a change of arsenal, and the match started with Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran coming out all guns blazing.
Nicholas Pooran Gets A Lifeline
Delhi Capitals had a chance to get rid of Nicholas Pooran in the seventh over, but Sameer Rizvi, who has played for CSK in the past, made an absolute mess of it. Vipul Nigam was the bowler and he bowled it around off. Nicholas Pooran went for a big hit, but mistimed it completely, and the ball went to the left of the backward point fielder, Sameer Rizvi.
It was an easy catch, but he dropped it and then unfortunately hit Mitchell Marsh on the back as he threw the ball towards the bowler's end. It did not hurt Mitchell Marsh much, but both him and Nicholas Pooran are hurting DC, and things are not looking bleak.
Earlier, Vipul Nigam got the wicket of Aiden Markram on debut, but they need to pick more wickets to keep themselves in the game. Axar Patel, earlier, won the toss and decided to bowl first and are without KL Rahul in this game. They have strong all-round unit this season, and would be hoping to start off the season with a win.
