You don’t often see Jaydev Unadkat getting an opportunity to bat in IPL 2024, even though he plays handy cameos for his state team Saurashtra. However, on Tuesday, he got a chance to showcase his batting prowess, and guess what, he finished things off with a last-ball six while representing Sunrisers Hyderabad against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur.

Unadkat came as the No. 11 for SRH, as they kept on losing wickets from the get-go after Shikhar Dhawan asked them to bat first. He had only one ball to smash, and the bowler who was against him was England's Sam Curran.

Curran bowled a short delivery outside the off stump at a slow pace, and Unadkat stood tall before slamming it over long-on. Placed there, Harshal Patel had an opportunity to take the catch, but he made a mess of it, as the ball went over the ropes for half-a-dozen.

SRH, meanwhile, set a target of 183 against PBKS, and both the openers Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow are at the crease at the time of writing this. On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, as usual, is taking the new ball for SRH.
