Rohit Sharma’s candid expressions on the field have always grabbed everyone’s attention. However, the Indian captain was on the verge of suffering embarrassment during Day 2 of the first Test against South Africa. Thankfully, it did not happen, and he should only express his gratitude to his left leg for saving his back at SuperSport Park, Centurion.

Needless to say, Rohit is no longer as quick as he used to be in his early days. Yet, he produced a supreme effort while chasing Dean Elgar’s shot, which the veteran opener played between short mid-wicket and mid on off Shardul Thakur during the 53rd over of South Africa’s innings.

Rohit did not give up, and when he tried to grab the ball while diving, he missed it altogether. The ball was running towards the boundary rope, but his left leg did not allow it to go there. Elgar, in the meantime, completed three runs, while Rohit’s courageous effort saved a run for his team.
