Virat Kohli is known for being animated on the field, and his aggression has always been his USP ever since he made his debut in international cricket. However, sometimes things go south due to this, and one of them happened on Wednesday (December 27) during Day 2 of India’s first Test match against South Africa, taking place at SuperSport Park, Centurion.

During the 13th over of South Africa’s innings, Prasidh Krishna bowled a shortish delivery on the leg stump to Dean Elgar, who wanted to flick it through the leg side. However, the veteran South African opener did not get the timing right before the ball went into KL Rahul’s big gloves.

Rahul appealed for caught behind straightaway, and Kohli, placed at slip cordon, was confident as well. After watching the on-field umpire not raise his finger, Kohli and Rahul came quickly to Rohit Sharma to signal a T to challenge the decision.

The reply showed there was no nick whatsoever, as the ball kissed his pad before going behind.
