In the ongoing first off three ODI matches between India- W and South Africa-W at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side have turned the course of the game. 

India, who lost five wickets for 99 runs in the first innings, managed to post 265 runs on the board courtesy of a century from Smriti Mandhana. 

India further strengthened their hold on the game, when Renuka Singh striked in the first over to draw the first blood. Singh, who has made a name for herself of taking wickets in the first over, rattled skipper Laura Wolvaardt's off-stump on the fourth ball of the first over. 

It was a perfect in-swinging delivery pitched outside the off-stump and it swung back heavily to clean bowled Laura.

Renuka has played 11 ODIs and bagged 20 wickets to her name. Her performance with the new ball resulted in RCB buying the right-arm seamer for 1.5 crores in inaugural WPL auction.

Talking about RCB, a few fans pointed out the contrast in performance of Renuka when she features for RCB and India. Notably, for RCB, Singh has taken just 3 wickets in 16 wickets. Fortunately, the Challengers won their maiden WPL title earlier this year. RCB beat Delhi Capitals in WPL 2024 finals to get their hands on the title for the first time. Notably, they won the title in WPL's 2nd edition.
