Renuka Singh Thakur has a habit of picking up wickets with the new ball, as she has been incredibly consistent in India’s ongoing three-match T20I series against England. The right-arm fast bowler kept on doing the work on Sunday (December 10) during the third and final tie of the series, taking place at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Having already secured the series, England brought in Maia Bouchier to open the innings in place of Danni Wyatt. The 25-year-old had a golden opportunity to shine, but Renuka's brilliance led her to depart for an embarrassing golden duck.

It was a brilliant delivery by Renuka, who bowled at good length towards the stumps. After pitching, it nipped back sharply before hitting Bouchier’s pads and going on to break the stumps.

Renuka continued to enjoy success even further, as she got rid of Sophia Dunkley in the following over. In the process, her tally of wickets in this series went up to seven, with  Sophie Ecclestone being the second in this chart, having picked up five wickets at an average of 5.60.

At the time of writing, England have slipped to 34/3 in seven overs, with Renuka bowling 14 dot balls in her first three overs, claiming 2/9.
