Renuka Singh Thakur gave India a dream start on Wednesday (December 6) during their first T20I of the three-match series at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The 27-year-old picked up two big wickets inside the opening over of the innings, helping the Women in Blue go flying after they asked England to bat first.

The first wicket that Renuku took was of hard-hitting Sophia Dunkley. The English opener was chopped on, resulting in her leaving the field after a two-ball 1. Then, on the following delivery, how Renuka dismissed Alice Capsey left everyone in awe.

It was a good-length delivery by Renuka toward the off-stump. Capsey tried to be on the line of the ball while attempting a defensive push, but the sharp wobble seam got the better of her. The ball went on to uproot the off stump, as Capsey left stunned in the middle of the stadium.

Indian players knew how much damage Capsey could do with the bat, so dismissing her for a golden duck left everyone going ecstatic.

Meanwhile, England have recovered brilliantly after early blows against India. As of writing, they have reached 89/2 after 10 overs, with Danielle Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt holding the fort, on 44* and 36* respectively.
