Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant were involved in a big misunderstanding while running between the wickets on Day 4 of the second Test match between India and Bangladesh. Virat Kohli was almost run-out but Bangladesh messed up an easy chance and Kohli got a lifeline. It was poor calling from Pant and the wicketkeeper batter himself accepted the mistake and gave his senior partner a warm hug after the mishap, a gesture which is now being praised from all corners.

However, Virat Kohli was in no mood to forget the incident easily, and in the fag end of the day, he was seen explaining the event to Shubman Gill and KL Rahul while standing in the slips. It was quite a funny imitation of the incident and everyone around had a good smile. Kohli was explaining how Pant called him initially for a run and when he responded, Pant sent him back sensing the impossible nature of the run. It left Virat Kohli high and dry, but Khaled Ahmed missed a simple run-out and Kohli followed it up with consecutive boundaries.

India In Driver's Seat After Dominating Day 4

Virat Kohli eventually scored 47 off 35 balls with 4 fours and a six in his knock while Pant could only score 9. However, India were on an ultra-aggressive mode and blasted 285 in just 34.4 overs to take crucial lead in quick time after bundling out Bangladesh for 233. The visitors also lost two wickets in their second innings, and still trail by 26 runs. India are leading the series by a 1-0 margin and if they end up playing the same kind of cricket they played on Day 4, we can expect them to whitewash Bangladesh on the final day of the Kanpur Test.
