Continuing his sublime bowling form in the IPL 2023, veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja cleaned up Lucknow Super Giants' mainstay Marcus Stoinis with an absolute ripper during the ongoing face-off between the two sides in Lucknow.
After being put into bat first, LSG got off to a steady start, courtesy of some watchful batting from Kyle Mayers and Manan Vohra. However, things started taking a U-turn once MS Dhoni introduced his spinners into the attack.
After Mayers gifted his wicket to Moeen Ali, Maheesh Theekshana removed Vohra and Krunal Pandya in consecutive deliveries. If that was not enough, Jadeja joined the party and castled Stoinis with a peach of a delivery to put CSK in the driving seat.
The incident occurred in the seventh over, when Stoinis and Karan Sharma were batting in the middle, trying to stabilise the hosts' innings through a consolidating stand.
However, Jadeja had other ideas, as he delivered a dream delivery, that turned significantly from the leg stump line to hit the off stump and leave Stoinis in disbelief.
Riding on spinners' overwhelming performance, CSK are in a commanding position in the game, reducing LSG to 42 for 4 in nine overs.
