[Watch] Rashid Khan ‘Knocks Over’ Heinrich Klaasen With A Brilliant Googly

The performance of Rashid Khan on Friday (November 10) demonstrated why he is considered one of the sharpest minds in world cricket today. The leg-spinner cleaned up the dangerous Heinrich Klaasen with an absolute peach of a delivery to keep Afghanistan alive against South Africa in Match 42 of the World Cup 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Defending 244, Afghanistan were in trouble against the Proteas, as Klaasen and Rassie van der Dussen kept control in the chase. Then Rashid came to bowl the 28th over, as Klaasen, who shows extreme composure against spinners, was outfoxed by a quick googly which spun a little.

Klaasen tried to cut it after making some room, but was completely beaten by the speed, as the ball went on to uproot the off stump.

Rashid was absolutely pumped after the wicket, whereas Klaasen slowly began to walk back to the pavilion after a paltry 13-ball 10.

As of writing, South Africa are in complete control, having raced to 160/4 in 32.4 overs. They, however, still require 84 runs off 104 balls to get the job done.
