It has been a strange IPL 2024 for the Lucknow Super Giants skipper, KL Rahul. The talented batter has racked up more than 500 runs, but his campaign has come under scrutiny for low-strike-rate.

KL's doubters were proven right once again, as the LSG skipper played a pain-staking innings against the Mumbai Indians, and eventually departed for a 41-ball 55. On a flat Wankhede surface, KL Rahul scored a 37-ball fifty, and that too, when the opposition had Jasprit Bumrah rested for this contest.

His innings was ended by Piyush Chawla, who weaved his magic and dismissed the LSG captain. Chawla bowled a loopy delivery outside the off and KL Rahul went for a slog sweep. He got a top-edge as the ball was taken cleanly by the fielder at short-fine leg.

While Pooran was striking at over 200 from the other end, KL Rahul struggled for runs and allowed MI to crawl back in the contest.

Talking about the match, MI have been already been eliminated from the playoffs race, and they'll be looking to spoil LSG's party. On the other hand, the Super Giants will be eager to get a big win and stay alive in IPL 2024.
