Rishabh Pant has been in great form with the bat and his glovework behind the stumps has also been top notch in this T20 World Cup 2024 so far. However, in the Super 8 game against Bangladesh, he ended up dropping a pretty simple catch of Tanzid Hasan which created a frustration for both Pant and the bowler, Jasprit Bumrah.

It was the second delivery of the sixth over and Bumrah bowled a lovely delivery, angling across the left-hander on the off-stump line. Tanzid tried to defend it, but got an outside edge and the ball went left of Pant, who got both hands to it but dropped it. He then chased the ball as the batters took a single, and Pant was visibly frustrated as he threw the ball back to the fielder in disgust.

Jasprit Bumrah too was very disappointed and covered his face with both hands. Tanzid went onto score 29 runs and finally departed in the 10th over with Kuldeep outfoxing him.
