The Australians are known for their frigid and hard-hearted attitude; however, sometimes, keeping the spirit of the game intact makes a difference. Not keeping that in mind, Aussie captain Pat Cummins grabbed eyeballs for his arrogant walk-off after hitting Washington Sundar right on the box.

Sundar, who was visibly in a lot of pain, fell to the ground in throbbing pain after being hit right at the unmentionables. He was seen wincing in pain; however, Cummins did not look back even once. Soon after, the physio ran towards the field to check on the Indian all-rounder. 

Washington Sundar Gets Injured

The home-team has been ruthless right from the start, first both Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland attacked Rishabh Pant, who secured some big blows on his left arm and now Cummins joined his teammates. It has been challenging for the Indian batters to tackle the pace and bounce at the SCG.

In the 64th over, Cummins unleashed a length ball outside off. It nipped back in a long way and Sundar gets caught in his crease as he looked to block it. He played outside the line however gets beaten on the inside edge getting an unfortunate thud on his box.

Nevertheless, Washington Sundar soon collected himself and after getting checked by the physio returned to play. However, he was dismissed in the same over soon after he hit a daring boundary off Cummins. Sundar showed great resilience on a pitch that has been a tough pitch to bat on as he added 14 more runs to the Indian scoreboard.

At the time of writing, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohd. Siraj are out in the middle with India at 175/9 after 70.2 overs.
