Nikhil Chaudhary rose through the ranks in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) in Australia. The 27-year-old Indian-born cricketer, who has been representing Hobart Hurricanes, played a breezy cameo on Thursday (January 11) as well against Adelaide Strikers in Match 33 of the ongoing edition at Bellerive Oval, Hobart.

In his latest knock, in which Choudhary scored 22 off 18 balls, a six that he hit against Lloyd Pope caught a lot of attention.

The shot was played during the 14th over of the Hurricanes' innings, when Pope bowled a loopy delivery to Choudhary’s zone. The all-rounder was ready for it, as he went down on one knee before lofting it over cow corner for an enormous six.

Having been put into bat, the Hurricanes, as of this writing, have reached 141/5 after 17.5 overs. Coming at No. 3, Macalister Wright was the top-scorer with a 27-ball 37, whereas Caleb Jewell (32 off 30 balls) and Tim David (22 off 10) equally contributed with handy knocks.

For the Strikers, Cameron Boyce was the most successful bowler, having claimed 2/17 off his four overs. Jamie Overton and Henry Thornton took two wickets as well, but they conceded too many runs for the success.
