Haris Rauf, who was in action for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League (BBL) not too long ago, travelled to New Zealand, where the entire Pakistan team have been preparing for a five-match T20I series. The T20I series, which will also be the first full-time captaincy test for Shaheen Afridi, will get underway on January 12 at Eden Park, Auckland, and will finish on January 22 at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.

In a video posted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), a few Pakistani players, including Rauf, Babar Azam, Shaheen, Fakhar Zaman, and Mohammad Rizwan, among others, were seen training hard before the much-anticipated competition. The Men in Green, under the leadership of Shan Masood, were recently humiliated in Australia with a 0-3 defeat in Tests, and hence, the series in New Zealand is going to be more crucial for them.

In the video, Shaheen was seen giving a pep talk to the entire Pakistan team and support staff, whereas Haris Rauf was seen giving his 100% while bowling at nets. Even Shaheen was bowling as well, whereas Fakhar, Babar, and Rizwan were batting from the other end.

Pakistan will try to put their best foot forward during the five-match series, considering the T20 World Cup 2024 is not far away.
