The 16th match of The Hundred 2024 between Manchester Originals and Northern Superchargers witnessed a moment of sheer brilliance. 

Nicholas Pooran turned heads with his quick and accurate skills, which helped weaken the spirits of the opposition as he removed Matthew Hurst with his perfect throw.

Hurst's sensational knock of 78 off 45 balls, which included seven boundaries and four maximums, received a loud applause from all the viewers.

On the 87th ball, Sikandar Raza bowled a yorker-length ball on the leg and looked to dig it out. However, he missed it, and the batters ran for a bye. Nicholas Pooran was too quick to think on his feet as he hit the bull's eye at the striker's end in a heartbeat. The third umpire decided to confirm it, and the replays showed Hurst was well short of the crease, and the screens displayed OUT.

Earlier in the game, the Northern Superchargers were able to put up a total of 167 after good knocks from Harry Brook and Graham Clarke. 

During the chase, Hurst's efforts went in vain as the Manchester Originals failed to capitalize on the lead provided by him. The Northern Superchargers' victory by 14 runs was a thrilling end to the match.
