Rishabh Pant's trademark shot with one hand did not go for a six like it usually goes on Tuesday (May 14) in Match 64 of IPL 2024 between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

In fact, the DC skipper lost his wicket while attempting the shot, as Deepak Hooda took a well-judged catch near the boundary line to dismiss him for a 23-ball 33.

Naveen-ul-Haq, coming to bowl the 17th over, bowled a full delivery only at 110 kph. Pant, while attempting to whack it, lost his grip, as the bottom hand came off. There was no timing at all, resulting in Deepak Hooda taking a simple catch near the boundary line.

DC, after KL Rahul won the toss and asked them to bat first, closed on 208/4 after 20 overs. Tristan Stubbs played a gem of a knock, remaining unbeaten on 57 off 25 balls with four sixes and three fours. Abishek Porel batted beautifully as well, scoring 58 off 33 balls after Jake Fraser-McGurk fell for a duck.
