In the ongoing The Hundred 2024, the 28th match between Trent Rockets Women and Birmingham Phoenix Women at Edgbaston on August 12 witnessed a pivotal moment.

Trent Rockets' wicketkeeper-batter Natasha Wraith, attempting to replicate Rishabh Pant's iconic scoop shot, fell prey to England pacer Isabelle Wong.

The incident occurred on the 20th ball of the Rockets' innings. Wong, making her comeback, delivered a full ball outside off. Wraith, shuffling across the stumps, tried to scoop the ball over short fine leg, aiming for a shot that Pant has made famous.

However, she failed to connect properly, resulting in a mistimed scoop that went straight to Sonny Baker, who was stationed at the edge of the ring. Baker made no mistake in completing a simple catch, handing Wong her first wicket of the match.

Earlier, Birmingham Phoenix won the toss and opted to bat first. They posted a modest total of 113, which seemed to put them in a favorable position as they successfully removed key batters Bryony Smith and Grace Scrivens early in the Trent Rockets' chase.

At the time of writing, Trent Rockets are at 94 for 6 in 78 balls, with their innings hanging in the balance.
