Afghanistan star all-rounder Rashid Khan, playing for Trent Rockets, has been ruled out of The Hundred 2024 due to injury. The Trent Rockets' official account on Instagram didn't state the nature of the injury.

The 25 year-old, known for his exceptional skills both with the bat and ball, has been instrumental in the team's campaign.

In the five innings he played this season, Rashid Khan scored 44 runs and took 9 wickets, showcasing his all-around capabilities.

Chris Green as Rashid Khan's replacement

The absence of Rashid Khan is a significant blow to Trent Rockets, who will miss his experience and match-winning abilities as they head into the crucial phase of the tournament.

To fill the void left by Rashid, Trent Rockets have brought in Australian all-rounder Chris Green as his replacement. Chris Green, known for his effective spin bowling and useful lower-order batting, will be expected to step up in the upcoming matches.

Trent Rockets are set to face Birmingham Phoenix on August 12 at the Edgbaston, Birmingham, a match where Green's inclusion could be vital for the team's success.
