Naseem Shah is one of the key assets for Pakistan with his ability to pick wickets both with the new ball and old one. In the first game of Champions Trophy 2025 between Pakistan and New Zealand, the pacer got the big wickets of Kane Williamson and Will Young, but he did turned out to be bit expensive.

Tom Latham Scores A Century Against Helpless Pakistan

Will Young scored a century and after his dismissal, Tom Latham took the matters in his hands, and smashed both pacers and spinners. In the 40th over, Latham came up with an effortless six that silenced lot of people at the National Stadium in Karachi. Along with Tom Latham and Will Young, Glenn Phillips also came into the party and delivered some mighty punches at the death. Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first after winning the toss and got big wickets of Conway and Williamson upfront. They could not continue with that momentum though and now the pressure is on their batters to come out with positive intent and show character in a high-pressure game.
