Veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin lauds ultimate team man Ishan Kishan's exemplary attitude. Ashwin opened up on Kishan's willingness to assist teammates and emphasises that he never hesitates to contribute to the team's well-being.

Amidst Rishabh Pant's absence due to a severe car accident and KL Rahul's struggles with injuries, Ishan Kishan consistently secured a spot in the playing eleven as a preferred like-for-like replacement. Despite his impressive performances in ODIs, notably a stellar double century against Bangladesh, Kishan's role diminished with Rahul's return.

During the World Cup, Rahul assumed the wicketkeeping duties in all matches, relegating Kishan to only two appearances out of eleven games. His inclusion in those matches was necessitated by Shubman Gill's unavailability, and Kishan was promptly dropped once Gill returned.

The cunning off-spinner mentioned that Kishan is a person who brings joy to everyone and ensures that each player's bat, gloves, and helmets are ready, if needed.

"Ishan Kishan has a great attitude. I feel happy when he plays well. He's someone who makes everyone happy, he keeps every player's bat, gloves, and helmets ready and never complains when he sits out," said Ravichandran Ashwin on his YouTube channel.

Currently taking part in the five-match T20I series against Australia, Kishan has been pivotal in India's consecutive wins. Scoring fifties in both opening games, he contributed significantly to India's successful chase of 209 runs and the posting of 235/4 in the second game, emerging as India's top run-scorer in the series.

Having experienced limited appearances in India's playing XI during the 2023 World Cup and with the T20 World Cup in the West Indies looming in seven months, Kishan will now aim to leverage his promising start in the series to seal his place in Playing XI.
