The Dhaka Capitals are facing the Sylhet Strikers in the 16th match of the BPL 2024-25. The match is being played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh. 

The Dhaka Capitals won the toss ahead of the game and opted to bat first. Both the Capitals and the Strikers have struggled in the tournament and to get off the mark in the points tally.

While the Capitals are struggling to survive in the tournament, the Strikers still have a couple of games in hand to get their campaign on track. The Capitals would have expected their openers to give them a good start. Even though Tanzid Hasan failed to get going, Litton Das did not disappoint the Dhaka fans. The keeper and opening batter for the team has played shots all around the ground and has looked good in the middle, scoring a brilliant half-century.

During his time in the middle, Das was particularly severe on one of the best pacers in the Bangladesh set-up, Tanzim Sakib. It was the fourth over of the innings when Das unleashed his fury on the right-arm pacer.

Litton Das Slams Sakib With His Brilliant Batting

On the first ball of the over, Sakib bowled a full delivery at the pads of the batter. Litton flicked it fine past the keeper for a wonderful boundary through the deep fine leg region. Sakib went shorter and outside the off stump for the next delivery. This time, Das stood tall and punched the ball off the back foot through the cover-point region for another boundary. On the third delivery of the over, Sakib again lost his line and bowled it at the pads of the batter. This time, Das flicked it through the mid-wicket region for a boundary. 

After the three boundaries Sakib looked disappointed with himself and the brilliance shown by Litton Das. The over set the Capitals towards a formidable total.
