In a thrilling encounter currently underway at the ICC World Cup 2023, one moment stood out and turned the tide in favor of Pakistan. It was the remarkable flying catch by Mohammad Rizwan off Hasan Ali's delivery that sent Charith Asalanka packing.

Asalanka's departure marked a pivotal moment in the match, as Pakistan desperately needed a breakthrough to halt Sri Lanka's momentum. Hasan Ali, known for his fiery deliveries and trademark celebrations, did not disappoint. He delivered a back-of-a-length ball, angling in around off stump, tempting Asalanka to play away from his body. With minimal foot movement, Asalanka managed to get a faint outside edge on the ball.

What followed was pure brilliance from Mohammad Rizwan, the Pakistani wicketkeeper. He dived to his left with lightning speed, fully extending his body to pluck the ball out of thin air. The crowd at Hyderabad erupted in joy as they witnessed a stunning catch that showcased Rizwan's exceptional reflexes and agility.

This wicket not only ended Asalanka's innings for a low score but also shifted the momentum firmly in Pakistan's favor. With the fourth wicket down for Sri Lanka, Hasan Ali's fiery spell and Rizwan's extraordinary catch gave Pakistan a much-needed boost.

At the time of writing, Sri Lanka stands at 244/4 after 34 overs with Samarawickrama and de Silva taking charge and hoping to go beserk on The Men in Green.
