Pakistan's star player, Mohammad Rizwan gave a mini injury scare to the Pakistan side as he was struck on the shoulder by a sharp bouncer from Proteas pacer Marco Jansen. The Pakistan batter tried avoiding it, but the delivery was too quick to handle for the batter.
Rizwan came out to bat for Pakistan when the team was in a precarious situation against a rampant South African attack. He, alongside Babar Azam resurrected the innings and slowly and steadily took the attack to the opposition. However, the brief resistance ended when Babar was trapped after reaching the 50-run mark.
Rizwan, on the other hand, played a bit aggressively after weathering the early storm, but was hit by Jansen as he tried to attack him. The Proteas seamer bowled a shorter delivery as it cramped Mohammad Rizwan for room who went for a pull shot, but missed it. The ball hit him on his left shoulder as the batter looked in some pain.
Rizwan plays reckless shot to get dismissed
Rizwan was looking set for a big score, but the batter ran out of patience as just 4 runs shy of his fifty, the batter played a reckless and needless shot and his stumps got castled. Rizwan had the opportunity to score big, but he failed.
Babar and his wicket led to a Pakistan batting collapse as the team has lost 6 wickets and stare at a heavy defeat. The team also has the work to avoid the follow-on as they still require 261 runs to bat once again.
