When everything was going fine for Pakistan keeper, Mohammad Rizwan, he decided to play a reckless shot to throw away his wicket at a crucial juncture of the match. Rizwan looked in ominous touch, but one moment of adrenaline rush led to his demise in second Test.

Rizwan, alongside Babar Azam resurrected the Pakistan innings after the top-order failure on Day 2. The visitors lost three wickets and needed a bit of resistance as the ever-reliant duo steadied the sinking ship.

Babar, played with a bit of calmness as he scored his second successive fifty in the series, but soon went back to the pavilion. Rizwan, had the responsibility to carry on the good work, but he played a reckless shot and threw it away.

Wiaan Mulder bowled a short of a length on the stumps as Rizwan, who was batting on 46, saw it as an opportunity to reach his fifty with a boundary. He stepped down the track and went for an unnecessary slog as the ball missed the bat and crashed onto the stumps as the batter was shell-shocked.

Pakistan facing heavy defeat in Cape Town

South Africa batted first and posted a mammoth 615 runs in their first innings. Ryan Rickelton scored a blistering 259 runs and centuries from Temba Bavuma and Kyle Verreynne ensured that Pakistan were pushed out of the game on Day 2 itself.

The visitors lost three wickets and lost quick wickets before a partnership took place between Mohammad Rizwan and Babar. At the stroke of lunch, the Pakistan side is struggling at 155/6, and still need 261 more runs to avoid the follow-on.
