Australia vs South Africa is always an entertaining affair and over the years, we have seen some memorable games between the two proud cricketing nations. The World Cup intensifies that contest and we are seeing the same in the game number 10 of World Cup 2023 where Aussies are going up against the Proteas at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. One such moment in the game came in the 49th over of South Africa's innings when Mitchell Starc dropped an important catch of the dangerous David Miller off the bowling of Aussie skipper, Pat Cummins.

How was David Miller Dropped?

It was the 49th over of the game, and Cummins bowled a short delivery, around off, and took the pace off as well. Miller tried to pull it but was deceived by the lack of the pace of the delivery and ended up getting a big top edge. The ball flied towards deep backward square leg and Mitchell Starc, who was at fine leg, ran to his right and dived forward to take it. However, even after covering lot of ground and getting both hands to the ball, he could not hold onto the catch and ended up giving a big reprieve to David Miller.

Starc, though, redeemed himself in the final over of the innings as he cleaned up David Miller with a quality delivery. South Africa eventually managed to get 311 on the board and it would be interesting to see how the Aussies go about their business in the run-chase.
