Australia captain Mitchell Marsh’s effortless six against Adil Rashid broke the solar panel at Kensington Oval during their T20 World Cup 2024 clash against England on Saturday.

Marsh went hard against Rashid, the No. 1 T20I bowler in the world, during the ninth over of Australia’s innings. The hard-hitting all-rounder waited after watching Rashid go for a short delivery, and went for a pull for a massive six.

The ball landed on one of the solar panels before going out of the stadium.

Mitchell Marsh is still going strong, batting on 30 off 22 balls, while Glenn Maxwell is scoring 26* off 21 balls.

At the time of writing this, Australia are 131/2 after 12.5 overs, with Chris Jordan being the latest receiving the thrashing. The right-arm quick has conceded 18 off his first 1.5 overs, leaving England in all sort of trouble.

Australia and England are placed in Group B, alongside Oman, Namibia and Scotland. While England's tournament opener was washed out against Scotland, Australia, led by Marsh, went past Oman in style to open their account in the tournament.
