The third edition of the SA20 has got off to an exciting start. The two-time champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, are taking on the MI Cape Town in the first game of the edition.

Aiden Markram, the skipper of the Eastern Cape, won the toss ahead of the match and put Cape Town to bat. The bowlers of the team, especially Marco Jansen, responded well to the skipper's decision. The left-arm pacer picked up the wicket of Reeza Hendricks in the very first over and rocked the visitors early.

After the wicket of the Hendricks, things came to an apparent standstill as the SEC bowlers kept the MICT batters tied down. This increased pressure on the batters, resulting in another quick couple of wickets soon.

Dewald Brevis Plays A Brilliant Knock To Get MI Cape Town Going

After the fall of the third wicket, Dewald Brevis walked out into the middle and changed the game's momentum. Due to his batting stance and the style of the shots he executes, Brevis has often been referred to as Baby AB (AB de Villiers). In the momentum-changing knock he played in this game, he channelled his inner ABD and delighted the fans with his shot-making.

One of the many shots he played particularly grabbed the attention of the fans. On the first delivery of the 13th over, Brevis showed the talent and confidence he has. Swanepoel bowled a fullish delivery at the off-stump line. Brevis stamped down his front foot and slammed the ball over the long-on fence for a 91m six. He was mentally in such a great space during the knock that he did not even raise his head to look where the ball went.

AB de Villiers was known for the unconventional shots he played during his time. The no-look smash by Brevis exuberated similar confidence from the batter.
