Mayank Dagar helped RCB fans take a sigh of relief on Friday evening during KKR’s chase on Friday (March 29) evening in Match 10 of the IPL 2024 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Coming to chase 185 against Virat Kohli-starred side, Phil Salt and Sunil Narine gave KKR a perfect start, smashing 85 runs off the first six overs. However, Mayank Dagar gave the much-needed breakthrough after the Powerplay, and it was an excellent delivery which knocked Narine over after a fiery 22-ball 47.

It was a 101.8 kph delivery by Dagar right at the block hole for Narine, who was beaten by the pace and failed to bat down at the right time. The ball went on to crash the off-stump, leaving Dagar to jump in absolute joy.

However, Narine did his job, scoring more than 20 runs for the first time in five years as a KKR opener. He slammed as many as five sixes and two fours in a scintillating knock before Dagar ended his entertaining stay to erupt the crowd.

At the time of writing this, KKR are batting on 104/2 after 9.3 overs, with skipper Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer in the middle, on 5* and 12* respectively.
