Glenn Maxwell faltered once again against spin, as Scotland's left-arm spinner Mark Watt bowled him with a superb delivery.

Maxwell, continuing his IPL form into the T20 World Cup, struggled against spin once more. While chasing 181 against Scotland, Maxwell was a key player for Australia. However, just like his season with RCB, he failed again, putting Australia in a difficult position.

Scotland's left-arm spinner, Mark Watt bowled an absolutely unplayable delivery, forcing Glenn Maxwell to play a shot on the offside, only for the ball to spin past him and take the off stump.

Watt celebrated wildly, knowing the significance of this wicket, especially recalling Maxwell's explosive innings against Afghanistan in the ODI World Cup. 


England fans were the most disappointed, as an Australian loss would mean England's exit from the tournament. Earlier, England had secured a 41-run victory against Namibia using the DLS method.

Travis Head's fifty kept Australia in the chase, with Marcus Stoinis joining the left-hander after Maxwell's dismissal. The duo stitched a match-winning partnership as Australia crossed the winning line in the last over of the innings. Tim David remained unbeaten at 28 off 14 and sealed a 5-wicket win.
