Glenn Maxwell had a dismal IPL 2024 season, struggling significantly throughout. The Australian all-rounder started the season poorly and failed to recover, even after taking a brief hiatus. 

He ended the season with just 52 runs from 10 matches, averaging a mere 5.78. This season, Maxwell managed only two double-digit scores, with the other seven innings yielding single-digit scores, including four ducks—two of which were golden ducks.

The Australian cricketer had a season to forget, enduring a string of poor performances that culminated in the Eliminator match against Rajasthan Royals On May 22, 2024. He was dismissed for a golden duck, attempting a reckless slog off his first ball and finding the fielder at long-on.

However, his poor performance in this IPL season could lead to RCB reconsidering his place in the squad, potentially resulting in his release ahead of the next auction.
