Marcus Stoinis showed his angry side to the world in the ongoing T20 World Cup clash Vs Afghanistan.

Put into bat by Mitch Marsh, Afghanistan were off to a flying start, courtesy, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran. The two Afghan openers took the attack to the opposition and were at their imperial best against the Aussie bowling lineup.

Stoinis' fiery send-off to Gurbaz

The duo added their third 100+ stand in T20 World Cup 2024 as Australia were in danger of getting pushed on the back-foot. However, the introduction of Stoinis changed the complexion of the match.

Trying to up the ante, Gurbaz charged down the track as Stoinis bowled it slightly short. He miscued the slog as the ball went straight into the hands of the man at deep square leg. Stoinis gave the breakthrough, but that was not the end of the story as he gave a fiery send-off to the Afghan opener, seemingly telling him to return to the pavilion immediately.

One wicket brought the downfall of another as the Afghan side crumbled under pressure and lost 3 wickets in quick successions as Australia roared back in the contest.

Interestingly, Pat Cummins once again bagged a hat-trick to push Afghanistan on the back-foot at the end of the first innings.
