In their Asia Cup Super Four match against India on Friday, Bangladesh made a remarkable comeback, taking the total to 265/8 after slipping to 59/4 earlier at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The Tigers' counterattacking approach was exemplified by Shakib Al Hasan. The veteran all-rounder produced a fiery 85-ball 80, laced with six fours and three sixes, while Towhid Hridoy (54) and Nasum Ahmed (45) contributed with valuable contributions.

Along with the above-mentioned names, brisk cameos from Mahedi Hasan and Tanzim Hasan Sakib helped Bangladesh post a decent total on the board. More significantly, the way Mahedi smashed Prasidh Krishna on the last ball of the innings helped Bangladesh to have the momentum with their side.

It was a length delivery from Prasidh which was slightly slower in pace. Mahedi picked it up with perfection and slammed it over the mid-off for a one-bounce four. The highlight of the shot was the way he got his front leg out of the way before going to bash.

Meanwhile, India's chase are now underway, with Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma are at the crease to kick things off.
