After Jake Fraser-McGurk's whirlwind knock against Mumbai Indians, the Delhi Capitals needed someone to step up and continue the good work. Shai Hope, the West Indian batter turned out to be 'that' guy for them.

Fraser-McGurk's brutal assault pushed MI on the back-foot. The Aussie sensation slammed his fifty in just 15-balls and was eventually dismissed for 84. MI must have felt some respite after his dismissal, but Hope made sure that the momentum continued as the DC batter played an aggressive role and hammered the MI bowlers all around the park.

Hope's assault ended by Wood

He wasn't afraid to take the aerial route and dealt mighty blows to the MI bowlers. However, just as he was etching closer to the 50-run landmark, Luke Wood got rid off the dangerous batter for a 17-ball 41.

Wood bowled a length ball as Hope flicked it on the leg side. The ball travelled quickly towards the deep mid wicket region and Tilak Varma stationed there took a brilliant diving catch.

By the time Hope departed, he had made sure that DC had all the momentum in the world, heading into the final overs of the innings.

At the time of writing, DC are 235/4 inside 19 overs.
