Klaasen departed for a low score [AP]
Just when Sunrisers Hyderabad needed an Heinrich Klaasen special, he fails to deliver and departed for just 7 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
In a crucial chase of 207, SRH needed to play sensibly, but they ran into a perfect ploy set by Faf du Plessis as wickets tumbled at regular intervals.
Head departed for a scratchy looking 1, and Abhishek Sharma also followed him, but not before scoring a quick-fire 31. However, to stay alive in the chase, SRH needed their main man, Klaasen to play a special knock, but he failed to deliver and departed for a low-score.
Klaasen fails!
Swapnil Singh was taken to the cleaners in the 5th over, as SRH took him apart. Klaasen struck a six on his fifth delivery and tried to repeat the same feat on the last delivery. However, this time he failed as he miscued his slog and the ball took a top-edge which was successfully taken by Cam Green at mid-on.
RCB were elated as they knew the big fish was trapped and SRH had lost their key batter in this tricky run-chase.
Talking about the match, RCB posted a healthy 206/7, courtesy Rajat Patidar, who struck a majestic fifty of 19 balls. Kohli, too, scored his fifty as the Red Army breached the 200-run mark.
