Shamar Joseph first grabbed eyeballs at the iconic Gabba when his inspired bowling performance took West Indies to a historic win against the mighty Aussies. Lucknow Super Giants then selected him for IPL 2024, and after a fruitful season with them, he is now making headlines in CPL with his fast and furious bowling.

In the 21st match of  CPL 2024 between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, he picked up three wickets, but more than his wickets with the ball, it was the run-out that he produced with his brilliant athleticism that created a lot of buzz. It was the game-changing run-out, and Guyana managed to clinch the game by 30 runs.

Shamar Joseph Shows Superb Athleticism

The run-out came on the fifth delivery of the 15th over when the Patriots were on the track to chase the target of 138. Lewis and Rilee Rossouw were at the crease, and Guyana needed a wicket. Joseph then bowled a shortish delivery, and Evin Lewis dabbed it towards the off-side to steal a single. However, Joseph was quick to run towards the ball. He picked it up with one hand and fired a direct hit at the batter's end to leave Rossouw short of his crease.

Guyana Amazon Warriors Move To The 2nd Spot On Points Table

The wicket of the South African was a big, big one for Guyana, and it triggered a collapse as the Patriots lost their last six wickets for just 16 runs. Evin Lewis top-scored with 49 off 46 balls, but he did not get any support, and St Kitts lost their eighth match in a row. On the other hand, Guyana Amazon Warriors got back to winning ways on their home turf and moved to the second spot on the points table.
